Jean Williams an American nurse wiped her bloody hand onto her white smock, she had just finished removing a bullet from an American solder's right thigh. Placing her hand upon his sweating forward she damped a cool cloth to replace her hand. After doing so she let the other nurse take over for her as she walked over to change her smock. Placing a few stray strands of her brown hair behind her ears she turned to looked to the other nurse, who was now busy trying to shush the man.
Jean shook her head slightly and headed outside the tent. It was a cool morning, October wasn't her favorite month, but better then spring or summer. Sitting on a bench that was placed outside of the tent for breaks she sat herself down fixing her kerchief that she had tied atop her head, covering her hair. Her sold blue eyes searched the camp. Men scrambled some with guns, others with wounded, but today it seemed less frantic. The sky was gray and looked cold to the touch. At times Jean wished she was back home, only being her for seven months.

Wesley could feel the sweat trickle down his temples and neck. carrying one of his friends to a medical tent was not as easy as it looked. throwing open the flap Whit his free arm he shouted for a doctor. handing him off Wesley stood for a moment. IT felt as though a huge weight was lifted, he felt so light. A loud crack ripped him away form his thoughts. he recognized it right away. It was the sound of a bomb.
Wipping the sweat from his brow Wesley, exited the tent. Walking out side he looked up to the sky. it was a miserable looking sky. "oh well.." he thought it goes with a miserable day. Looking around he noticed a bench, Wes could use a little time off his feet. Walking over he sat down with a thud. lighting a cigarette he glanced over. what met his eyes was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. looking her up and down he tried not to ogle. "sorry about that, didn't really see you there" he said with a small laugh.

Jean sat quietly, she was a shy young woman and talking came difficult for her. She watched as two solders brought a man inside the medic tent, it was a busy day. She just hoped it didn't rain, that was all that was needed. Seeing a black haired man come outside of the tent Jean watched him in silence. She shifted over on the wooden bench when he didn't take notice that she was there. She looked away but soon felt eyes upon her, and then soon after a voice.
Looking sideway hers eyes met those of the young combat medic, he was strikingly handsome. "Oh, thats alright" she excused him. Waving a hand in dismal. It wasn't a big deal, as long as he didn't sit on her it was alright. She wrinkled her nose as he lit a cigarette, her father was a smoker, and her mother, which was odd for a woman, but she never liked the smell. Still she wasn't a rude woman, and would say nothing.
Remaining sitting Jean sat without speaking, her eyes flickered to him before she casted them down wards, she was a timid woman and hesitated before asking a quiet, it came out rather shaky. "Did you know that man?" she asked relating the question to the man he had helped dragged in just a few moments ago.

Wes noticed her face crunch when he lit the cigarette. blushing he ran his hand through his hair. putting it out he looked at her. "Sorry, I never use to smoke, not until the war..." he let his though trail off. he figured she knew what he meant. After all by the looks of her uniform she was a nurse too. 'such a waist.." Wesley thought "such beauty to be ravaged by the cruelness of war" thankfully his thoughts were his own.
tying to brush off his blush Wesley checked his Field medical pack. It was full. So now he was doomed to sit in uncomfortable awkward silence. clenching his fit Wes turned to wards her. god dammit he was a man, about time he took matters into his own hands. Outstretching his hand to he Wesley smiled. "I'm Wesley Warren, pleased to meet you."
